This photo is possibly from 1935 after Will Rogers wrote a news article praising Columbia for promoting the mule. Mr. Rogers was offered the Grand Marshall honor, but could not attend due to a movie shoot. However, he stated that if not for that he would be riding a couple of mules down the middle of town. -Montana Butte Standard March 3, 1935.
